Etchells Match Racing at Docklands

One of the highlight events of the VYC Cancer at Bay Regatta on
February 24 and 25 will be Etchells Match Racing at Docklands
(sponsored by MAB, makers of a better class of place to live)
(and apologies to all developers in the fleet).

Promises to be a great regatta. Clubs right around the Bay are
involved; boats from everywhere all converging on Docklands.

Etchells contestants include everyone from the old and wise to
Olympians (some young, some less so), that bloke who won the
America's Cup and some very hot up-and-comers.

All funds raised will assist the Challenge Cancer Support Network
in providing assistance to children with life threatening blood
disorders

Why do you need to know all this? Because there's more.

There's a party. You're invited.

There's a need for volunteer helpers on Sat. arvo. You're invited again.

There's room for spectators. Yep. You're invited.

There's a bus leaving from a yacht club near you (coming all the
way from Mornington). Are you invited? Yes.

Yachties' Party of the Century. Starts 5pm Saturday, 24th February

At Victoria Dock Entry - Minimum donation $25 per head for adults
(tax deductible) Food and Drink optional at very reasonable prices.

Returning along the beach as far as Mornington Yacht Club.

A morning of two halves The SE wind was ESE and down at 11 knots. The majority of the six starters chose the B rig. Roger Gibb was out to have the power to take the fleet apart with his A rig looking huge against the diminutive B rig.
