Sydney 38 One Designs fighting to the end

In what might be the first non-spinnaker long ocean race for many years, the second group of the Strathfield Pittwater to Coff's, the Sydney 38 fleet had another night of 30-35 knot winds.

Whereas the Sydney 40's and Farr 40's had separated from the pack with more favourable winds.

Approaching the finish Michael Jones's Obsession had clawed out a two mile lead over Rob MacMillian's Yeah Baby, with Matt Wenkes again renamed Advantage Mortgage, in company with Vaughan Stibbard and his seasoned crew on The Business.

The three crews exhausted from 44 hours of continues beating aboard Blowfly, Tassie 2 and The Big Picture are still fighting tack for tack, in their own private battle 4 miles after of the leading bunch.

2019 FAST40+ National Championship day 1
Niklas Zennstrom's Rán leads Day One of the HYS FAST40+ Nationals started an hour late but it was worth the wait. Three windward leeward races were held in 10-12 knots from the east with glorious sunshine producing fantastic conditions in the easter Solent.

Camel Week at Rock
It was a testing week for sailors and organisers alike Rock Sailing and Waterski Club's annual Camel Week regatta was this year on the rather turbulent waters of the Camel Estuary. Unfortunately the high winds on Saturday meant that racing had to be postponed, but the wind had moderated enough by Sunday.

More than half of the entire fleet will be at Littlehampton In two weeks time the third Hadron H2 National Championships will be held at Littlehampton, hosted by Arun Yacht Club. Already, the number of entries has already exceeded that of last year, so more than half of the entire fleet will be competing.
