MERRINGTON WINS LASER STATE OF ORIGIN AT HAMILTON ISLAND.

Anthony Merrington showed his exceptional Olympic Laser dinghy sailing skills to win the Hahn Premium Race Week match racing series on Hamilton Harbour this afternoon.

Merrington ranked at International level turned the 3 race final against Victorian Scott Walton into a state of origin war on the water winning final series 3-0.

He showed determined fighting spirit to overcome a penalty for a rule breach and then apply the overlap in the passing lane to beat Walton for the title sailed in 8-10 knot winds.
