by Trina Howes on 4 Jan 2001
The Sunsail Maritime Academy has two remaining crew positions available on January’s
Mile-Catchers Delivery Voyage from Hamilton Island to Sydney.

The delivery trips have been designed to offer sailing enthusiasts the opportunity to
accrue sea miles while gaining valuable offshore sailing knowledge and skills.

Under the guidance of qualified Sunsail Maritime Academy instructors, a crew of four will
make the ten day trip to Sydney aboard a luxury Beneteau 44'.

The voyage departs Hamilton Island on Monday 15 January 2000 at a cost of only $1,500
per person, and includes all meals and tuition in subjects such as coastal navigation, sail
handling, nautical knowledge and much more.

Ansett Australia and Qantas are offering heavily discounted return airfares to Hamilton
Island ex Sydney in mid-January from only $297 per person.

The Mile-Catchers Delivery Voyages are an initiative of the newly relaunched Sunsail
Maritime Academy which provides the ultimate sail training at bases in Sydney and
Hamilton Island.

Other courses include Introduction to Sailing, Competent Crew, Inshore Skipper, Coastal
Skipper, Marine Radio Operators, Occupational Health & Safety at Sea, among others.
