I have some Gill three season gloves https://www.gillmarine.com/gb/three-seasons-gloves.html" rel="nofollow - https://www.gillmarine.com/gb/three-seasons-gloves.html which I find pretty good (out of stock and probably discontinued now but there'll be something similar). Grip is good, they are very flexible and much warmer than summer gloves. When I was windsurfing I tried everything from surgical gloves and Marigolds to expensive neoprene. Nothing worked TBH 'cos of the need to grip the boom constantly but the key is to keep wind chill off your hands and neoprene rather than open mesh backs are well worth the extra bulk. Eisvogel mentioned the Showa 477 industrial/cold room/oil rig/hostile environment work glove.
I think they are a good balance of insulation vs dexterity with excellent grip. OK they don't last as long as leather palmed gloves but at £9/pair I can afford a new pair every winter! Here they are: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181863600447 |
