Drysuit tip for cold hands: surgical gloves, tucked under the wrist seals. Doesn't matter what you wear over the top, fingers will still be warm. Buy in boxes of many from Boots (other purveyors of surgical gloves are available).

I also used those surgical looking wrist strap things. Sort of look like huge plasters with a fleecy-ish lining. They worked a treat for me (I really suffer cold hands/feet in anything less than sub-tropical!!)
You put them on about 30mins before you get active and they just work.
Trouble is, they do look as though you're covering up some self-harming scars!
For the life of me I can't remember what they're called.....but they worked well for me.
I also try to put surgical gloves on under my sailing gloves, just stops my hands getting wet in the first place.
