This is the new lightskiff, constructed by Musto-Skiff-designer Dr. Joachim Harpprecht.
Harpprecht designed the Light Skiff as a little brother for the Musto Skiff to get young sailors into single handed skiffsailing.
Main sail in the video has 7.3 qm, but a new and a little bigger sail is already ordered.
Boom and mast are carbon.
kite/ gennacker: 10qm
length: 3.98m
beam (with wings): 1.6m
weight ready to sail: 55 kg

... I guess they have not yet finalised the final stats

has no one had the idea yet of doing something like making a smaller rig for a musto skiff..? in my opinion, if all it is is a feeder boat for the mps, why change the hull when there is nothing particularly wrong with it? it would also probably have a much larger result on the size of the class.

Yes- it's been discussed on the MPS forum, not sure on the final conclusion though.
