So what do we know about this?:

At first, my little heart leapt: a new small keelboat - maybe suitable for us light-weights on the Medway!

But no, it's still appreciably heavier than a Wayfarer, and the crew in the video look pretty lardy.  Not much more suitable than a K6, then.

The final clincher for me: the unraked bulb keel.  That's likely to pick up weed like nobody's business.  De-weeding the 3k is vital around HW, and I've heard of a fleet of SB3's up the east coast who just drifted away when they found weed to be the main race-decider.  The ff doesn't have all that keel rake for no reason....

+1.  A K6 did not last more than a season at Medway YC (though that was also due to the assy rig which is difficult to sail to handicap on the Medway and sailing away from/to the slipway with the raised keel fouling the boom.)

Please put in a sworn declaration and present to Wilsonian Sailing Committee!  Most people assert the opposite (and I think they may well be right - ample wide open spaces).

Depends on the course of course.  If you are sailing in circles around Marks 30 - 31, a fast assy probably does fine.  Medway YC tend to send thier Wayfarers down to 23 and beyond and trying to run back with them to MYC in a slower assy agaisnt the tide is no fun.

In a slower asymmetric, sure, it can be a pain, but  once you've got PY1000 speed or better it's no problem.  Hopefully the SK2 would be faster than that (pre-weed!)
