As above. Many dart 16's at my club which get sailed straight up the beach on very dodgy landing conditions (waves).

Can this be done with A-class cats and F16's

Thanks Smile

um.....no!
best bet is to have a dart16or something a bit 'ropey' for dodgy launching days and save the shiny boat for best.

For that sort of treatment, you need a plastic cat. This narrows the choice. Hobie build The Wave, The Catsy and The Twixy. These are really only "fun boats" and slow and heavy. I think Nacra do a plastic fun boat as well. You know about the Dart 16 which better, but I think the Topper Topaz range is great when you consider their prices. I have had a Topaz 14 X for over three years. The plastic is better than others against dents and scratches. It has a boom for sail and mast rotation control and simple but good rudders.

The club for many years has always had dart 15's,18's and hawks and nowadays dart 16s.

These are really only going to be club racing boats not circuit winners.

Similar to Dart 16 but stiffer material I believe.

you CAN sail a 'faster' design from a stone beach without running it up the beach.
There will be days when you have to think twice about launching though.
