I think I know the answer but I'll ask anyway.
I put my foot through the bottom of our Miracle last weekend. While discussing the incident in the pub someone suggested repairing the hole with Perspex or polycarbonate, fish watching.
Can it be done? I suspect not because the resin won't bond to the plastic.
Any thoughts or am I getting the ply out again?

Well naturally it could be done, but arranging a flush fit would be very difficult - I think you'd need to have a three dimensional moulded piece of plastic with a flange so you could organise a suitable seal. Also unless you are sailing in a very unusual place the visibility is likely to be about three feet, so the chances of seeing any fish are minimal. So IIWY it would be plywood!

Sailing in West Wales so visibility is about 80ft
Daughter dearest (who's boat it is) isn't fussed about our beer fueled ideas and wants to go with plywood.
