Can I confess - I spent a small fortune on jet skiing by the half-hour session when I was a student (in the 90s). I even went again recently. But the jet ski centre was FULL of chavs.

Stand-up skis were challenging to ride well I thought.

I have come back to the dinghy sailing fold now though.

Ah, that was cathartic.

I'm sorry to say it but I'd love to have a go in one of those!

Being 'marginally' irritated by jetskiers, I've often bemoaned them - until I realised how many of my friends are PWC enthusiasts! Plus, as risky as they can be as they zoom cluelessly around the bay, they do have their uses when a tow or pick up is required.

25mph underwater, 50 on the surface according to the blurb on the website. To run underwater it uses a snorkel to get air to the motor (and I think the poeple) so you can't run deeper than a few feet for any length of time. Once you dive deeper the snorkel shuts and then the motor quickly runs out of air. At that point if your dive angle is to steep you can end up coming up backwards.

Prices start at $65,000!

Can't do You tube Links at work but if you look there is a video taken from the Gadget Show where they tried out the "Dolphin" version.

I love the sensation of the water streaming over the windscreen as you submerge quickly.   Very National 12 like
