i have just spent the last year doing up my old parker 505 and finally got to take her out last weekend. unfortunatly she filled up with water, a bit of a problem. any ideas how i can find out where the leak is, since i have had a good look and can find nothing. it seems to be slowly comming into the middle sections of the boat and then somehow into the tanks. i have limited resources but have 2 get her going again thanks |

To check Lasers and Toppers we block up all the holes except for one which we connect an airline to. Put boat on trestles, cover in soapy water, turn on air compressor and look for lots of bubbles!

Don't bother with the airline - you might break her with the pressure - use your lungs, quite good enough. A common weakness for this type of boat is the bond between the tanks and the floor, not easy to fix either due to the stress of supporting the crew.
