reckon we have the B14 up and ready in well under thirty minutes from pulling in. If you do a lot of travelling, unless you're a masochist, you quickly figure out time saving set ups.

Plus, we've not got that much string to sort.

At my club we once got a late arrival at a Solo Open meeting on the water within 9 or 12 (can't remember which) minutes of driving through the gate...

  My second boat. a Mirror, takes about 50 mins to rig from the mast down position, with a singlehanded crew. Iit has more string than a Flying Fifteen. It has the now rather old-fashioned gaff rig. As I have not had it long I would welcome any tips. As it stays outside I have to have a flat cover to keep the rain from getting in, with the mast inside.

A lot of it comes down to practice, learning what you can and can't undo and having a system. For instance do you take the shrouds off the boat - you'll find you probably don't need to if you do a bit of jiggling. See if things that are knotted can be left tied or fastened in a quicker way, see what can be left threaded up, see if shackles can be replaced with hooks. All these things help.

....as long as i don't get the kicker tangled, my Lightning is done in around 10mins. Just wish i could actually sail it as quick!!!!

Remember a Hurricane TT at Bala in 1989 - 1990. Finished work (P&O Dover) and drove straight up and we were a bit late. We arrived, went and got changed and hoisted the sails and went sailing and won the event. Had about 12 people rigging the boat . Some of those guys/girls may read this thread. B14 takes about 20 - 25 minutes from unhitch to water plus getting changed.
