Hi,

I'm just renovating an old Phantom dinghy and am suprised by the centreboard pivot ... it pivots on a M6 bolt through the casing; but the hole in the board is 25mm dia. This seems wrong am I missing a bush or should I fill with epoxy (... doesn't sound good) and drill a clearance hole for the 6mm bolt?

The bolt will need to fit the hole through the centreboard casing. It must be a pretty tight fit, otherwise you get leaks all the time through the bolt hole.

Then, you need to make the hole in the board match the bolt size. This can be done by filling with epoxy and drilling out. At one time (as far as I can recall) the Phantom used fireball parts - maybe they have a class rule of a larger bolt, while the phantoms allow narrower bolts?

Thanks for the info the case does have an M6 hole so its just the filling on the board I need to do ... should be simple
