Having decided yesterday to go to the solo nationals in north berwick 1st-7th august, i'm now having a right nightmare trying to find somewhere within budget to stay. The girlfriend is anti camping so i need to find somewhere we can both stay for £200 ish have emailed loads of house lets ect and most want almost £600 for the week .

Anyone got any tips on finding somewhere affordable to stay?

We stayed in Plymouth earlier on in the year for next to nothing after finding a place on HolidayLets.net

Looked for Edinbourgh and can find one for 400 quid for a week. Take a look, if you get another sailor to join you can half the costs.

leave the GF behind and camp.

then take her away on a proper holiday later in the month, somewhere nice and warm.
