A message has been posted in the forum..

I like these notifications of replies on topics of interest, especially when they're ones that resurface after lying dormant for a while and which I might otherwise miss.

But sometimes you can have too much of a good thing: since the weekend my Inbox has been full of notifications on the Dinghy Show topic among others. I usually click the first one and use 'Active Topics' to cover everything else, then later chomp through my e-mails with the delete key - sometimes deleting other stuff in my enthusiasm!

Would it be possible, I wonder, to only send a notification on the first instance of a reply on a given topic between visits to the forum? From the 'Active Topics' setup, it's clear that the forum 'knows' when I visit - could it block after the first notification then unblock the flow of notifications after my next visit?
