I replaced the pintles on my rudder stock last year as they were cracking, and the new ones have a different hole pattern. Took a bit of engineering to get them to fit with no movement once I'd ovalled the holes in the stock !!

Yes, be careful. I'd always assumed I had Sea Sure rudder fittings on my Laser 3000, but luckily took them with me when I went to buy replacements. The lady in the chandlers recognised them as RWO (oh the shame - and me an engineer, at least on paper). Subtly but significantly different fittings...
