what effects would it have on a Carbon/Kevlar hull? as i am going to be removing the many layers of paint on my boat very soon while doing a few other things to it.
or would it be better to use a heat gun instead?

I am currently using a heat gun on my heavily epoxied wooden hull and finding it much more effective than nitromors.  I did a little experiment to see which worked best and the heat gun was way more effective - and a lot less messy.

I have no idea about kevlar/carbon though.
the same, but different...

I would think you'd want to be VERY VERY careful with a heat gun on a laminate. It's OK on a wooden boat as you can see when you start to do damage, but on a laminate? I would probably stick to mechanical abrasion. Get yourself a DA sander and face the fact it'll take a long time and make a lot of noise and dust

Good point! All furry and horrible - most unpleasant! try to take off the paint one coat at a time till you rech the original gelcoat and stop there

i wouldnt, the nitromors will dissolve the foam in the boat with dissasterous consequences, especially if there are any micro cracks where the chemicals can get in.

oops, good job I asked!

Oh well, I can while away the long winter nights sanding off layers of black, pink, silver and blue paint

Note to previous owner - remove previous coats before repainting!
