Hi

... sod  it...    I ripped my Gul Steamer when  getting out of it.

I have a 4-5 inch tear across the small of the back, about 2-3 inches below the zip.

The neoprene  is ripped that the inside cloth isn't - sort of holding the  whole thing together.

Any ideas on how to repair.

 - it a  clean tear

- should I use glue (what type)

- should I  sow together ?

thanks

 fin.

most windusrfers / surfers get rips on their smooth skin wetsuits which are fixed with a glue - I did mine a few weeks ago using some stuff called "black witch neoprene adhesive" - but most of those nicks are/were probably no more than 1 inch long.

As a dinghy suit (I assume) it might not be black nor smooth skin, so a repair using that glue could look ugly perhaps..

Hi

thanks for teh quick response -  sounds like the ideal thing...    that part of the suit is 'smooth' and flat'  so should suit!   (pun intended!).

thanks
