Awfully bad news I'm afraid, I have to miss the dinghy show as I've got to go and work in the UAE for 6 weeks.....no no I won't take any sympathy!  What you could do for me though is let me know i there is any good sailing/somewhere to get some singlehander trg or racing in around abu dahbi.  Any advice greatfully recieved. 
I might be sailing it, but it's still sh**e!

My mate used to live out there - ages ago.  Anyway about 13 yrs ago she sailed and did some racing at the Abu Dahbi beach club [i think? - will check with her].  I know she owned her own boat, so dont know about hiring, but I will ask her.

there are two clubs around there,not sure where they are though.one sails alot of toppers and kestrals and the other sails lasers but is an olimpic sailing school or something i think.or you could come sail that laser 1 with trapeze and assy kite conversion i was going on about,or just sail a hobie from a hotel...
