So, I'm trying to figure out where to go for a holiday this year.  My ideal holiday involves a catamaran, some sunshine and a nice, reliable wind.  The trouble is finding decent boats in a decent location.  With the obvious exception of Wildwind, finding decent, available cats at holiday locations seems to be a complete lottery.

We did Wildwind last year and it was good, but I'm looking for something different this year and having just bought a new boat what I'd really like to take it somewhere sunny and windy and learn to sail it properly

So, any suggestions for where to take the boat for a decent sail?   I'm not afraid of a longish drive to get there, but the options would seem to be France or Northern Italy/Spain.   Lake Garda looks appealing, but I wouldn't know where to start in terms of somewhere to keep and sail the boat.

I'd love to do Aruba, but The Crew is a teacher, and Aruba never falls in the half term break (I suspect that this isn't a coincidence).  Also, it's a fair time to be without the boat.
