Ive just been given a 420 by a friend of mine. It is sail number 38221 (old!) but it was free so meh!

Basically, its old, but only been sailed a few times. new sails and good hull and foils. It has Banks sails with a Kappa mast that is very tapered towards the top. I just need to replace all the rope bits and kicker. and possibly the trapeze wires. Any tips on re-fitting a 420? diagrams? guides? Ive looked at the class association website but its a tad too technical for me, being a laser sailor normally, I dont have the brain capacity to think about spreader angles and mast rake!!!

best wait till everyone else has retired back to the clubhouse and small boys & girls are being blown backwards down the shoreline (while still attached to their parents)... these are ideal conditions for 4twinkie sailing,  don't under any circumstances leave the beach in under 20knots of breeze or you'll be bored quickly by your new boat
Feeling sorry for vegans since it became the latest fad to claim you are one
