Farnborough in February

   Thanks to the attendees of the show for their info about how the show went. Sounds like next year I might give it a go, complete with sarnies and a bottle of ginger pop (2 ltr)

	Plenty of food and drink on Sunday, and literally, no queue. Catered well for allergies too. The doom sayers were wrong. The show was good and busy, and the venue works although I agree the “watersports” bit didn’t really happen. A few absences, but given that we were all wearing masks and isolating with close contact when the traders had to book a stand, it is no surprise. I fully expect next years show to be the best in years.

	Good to see so many making the effort to have stands and bring their boats along, some absolutely great boats on show, I thought the canoes were lovely - both the Tiger and the red one and the B14 looked great as well. The stages and presentations were easier to hear from the back than at Alli Pally - probs better audio kit, but for those of us walking by it was a nice change. Thank you RYA for moving the show to Farnborough, I couldn't spend one more minute of my life stuck in north London traffic and I thought the venue did well in terms of catering and facilities even if the walk from the car park was a bit of an odd route. After such odd times and given the conditions prevalent when so many would have booked to exhibit (per the post above), this was a great return and very welcome.
