Clubs are gradually opening for free sailing in line with government guidance.

Ones I know about that have plans to allow limited sailing by the weekend are:

Spinnaker
South Cerney
Warash
Stokes Bay
Blackwater

They all seen have a remarkably similar interpretation of what is acceptable with free sailing and access to toilets only. Changing rooms and club house are closed.

Any additions?

Many clubs have been open for free sailing since Wednesday. It appears those inland waters controlled by Anglian Water are not, and wont be for a while.

I know that the team at the RYA have been keen to help clubs that are interested by sharing materials between them. I am involved at South Cerney and we used the Queen Mary documents as a starting point and tweaked them to reflect our position as a volunteer run club. I know that our "model" was then pushed back out to other clubs by the RYA as an example and I suspect / hope that many clubs are just doing a "copy-paste" rather than designing something from scratch which is probably why many of the clubs have come to the same conclusion!

Bough Beech will be opening tomorrow - casual sailing only with no facilities.

We are using South Cerney's fantastic documents as our starting point

We're holding off for a couple of weeks.
Things seem very delicately balanced and it wouldn't surprise me to see a return to lockdown before the end of the month. If not, then it might mean we're in a better place.
We might open for boat checking/maintainance but at the moment we're staying closed. In fact, both of my clubs remain closed at the moment.

We'll be using Frensham Ponds plan & documents as our template.

It's a tricky one, although within rules there's a lot of local resistance.
Mountain Rescue are saying stay at home, not just Scotland & Wales, Lake District also.
Coastguard have said road to Holy Island closed and similar beach roads closed in N. Norfolk.

Great Yarmouth says back off.........

I wouldn't want tell anybody what's right for them but there is quite a lot of local resistance in tourist towns and in rural areas also to high density visitors , even accepting that visitors bring money and employment.

Thought Great Yarmouth just being Great Yarmouth would be enough to keep people away...

Town Mayors and county Lord Mayors, using powers that haven't been used probably since second world war, (probably before that), Duchy's have even more power, who would have thought we would be constricted like this.
Taken advantage of easing to ride to club and check for burglars, no damage, rode round lake, brilliant, we are lucky that beauty spots and parks are not far away, well for most people.
