Apologies for being way off topic but the Spring Bank Holiday, commonly known as Whit Monday has only been on the right date once in the past 10 years, in 2015, as far as I can see.  Would be nice if HISC would call it the Spring Regatta instead?  Sorry that I'm just a little old fashioned but I guess that comes with old age!

oh no, you're not going to like the Christmas Cracker either. 

To be frank, it's the traditional name of the bank holiday and many know of it as whitsun and whit half term. 

The worst that'll happen is some young kid asks why it's called whitsun and inadvertently learns about Pentecost. They might even learn a new idiom 'movable feast'.
