how much would it cost to build a cherub. i am a student and im poor. i was wondering because f i built one i might be able to do some opens in it. i currently sail a scorpion (love it) and occationally a solo. just wanted somethink diffrent. any replys would be most appreciated.
maybe theres more to life than being really really really really..........really good looking

http://www.sailingsource.com/cherub/chframe.php is a good place to start if you havnt already read all the building articles

Signing up to the public mailing list (in the dropdown box on the main page) would also be a good idea, theres plenty of people who would be glad to give more advice than I can

In reality though its probibly a lot easier and cheeper to buy an old boat and bring it up to spec but these are quite hard to come by at the moment as everyone has this idea.

The other option is of course to buy a pre-sorted boat. Shiny Beast and Loco Perro are both up for sale at the moment and are right up to spec, proven by 1st and 2nd at this years nationals if your budget can stretch. Sweet Dreams is also up for grabs and is a very well sorted example of a 97 rules boat prime for big rig convertion but already quite nippy amongst the rest of the '97 fleet
