Future of Sailing Clubs...

   Yup, if they get a shout we abandon and come ashore, we don't take money from the public we collect donations to the RNLI. 
Some are under 18, invariable sailing under the supervision of their parents (though often in their own boat).

If you go for a blast off the beach, or a cruise, or say to a couple of mates, race you around the channel marker and back.........?

If the RNLI H&S guy had any concerns he would certainly voice them.

	Well you are very lucky to blag free safety cover from the RNLI. We've had their support for a few big events, but they've always been very clear that they are not part of the event organisation and may have to leave at zero notice.

	I guess it's a small community up here on Anglesey. Doubt the same concept would work on the Solent but horses for courses hey what TBH we have enough RHIBs around to provide cover (and several drivers with some kind of appropriate training, including a couple of RYA SIs), if theres much breeze there will be one on the water in addition to the Inshore but the RNLI guys seem to like coming over and keeping an eye on us (and to socialise) so who are we to argue.

	Sounds like a good day, RNLI wouldn't get involved if their was no benefit to themselves, with small boats on the water, various ages and abilities, odds are that if they got a shout it would be for your party anyway.
