Cat Sailors who are frustrated by the lack of traveller events during the Winter may be interested to hear that the Sailjuice Winter Series is progressively opening up to more catamarans at selected events.
There are a total of 7 events through the winter for monohulls and now 4 (or 5?)of these events accept catamarans.
To see which ones accept your class select the class on the attached link and see the events that you can enter

http://enter.sailracer.org/events/enter-series-mobile.asp?eventid=203845

The Datchet Flyer (12/13 December) and the Grafham Grand Prix (28 December) accept all common catamaran classes.

The Draycote Dash (21/22 November) accept Sprint 15, Darts, Shadow, F16, DX, etc

The Tiger Trophy at Rutland (6/7 February) accepts Darts, A Class, Hurricane SX, DX, etc.

The Yorkshire Dales Brass Monkey (27 December) seems to accept a few but I'm not sure this is correct.

It is difficult to do a good summary but have a play on the website.............

Cheers

Bob

Good grief. Thirty quid to do a handicap race on a puddle in the winter.

Ed Tuite Dalton wins 2 races in his Sprint 15.............

He was 15th overall - it was a pity the wind dropped for the double points pursuit race.

Great to see all the Sprint 15s out at GJW Direct SailJuice Winter Series and mixing it at the front of the fleet.  Talking Multis,  the Challengers were also giving the dinghies a run for their money.

Next event -  Datchet Flyer,  also welcomes many Cat Classes.

GJW Direct SailJuice Winter Series Round 2,  another record entry,  already up to 90 boats from 36 classes.  BUT NO Cats,  as Bob says you are welcome and great chance to show the Dinghy sailors what they are missing.

Advance closely shortly
