I took a Freddy (Ronstan/Frederiksen) ratchet block off my sons Oppy because the ratchet was a bit iffy. I took it apart and found there wasn't much wrong with it and assumed there would be a service kit available. However I cant find anyone selling them though - any ideas? Do they exist?

I've renewed a few Harken cleats which is easy and worth the time investment.

great bits of kit.
Don't think you can get them anymore, but you can service them. 9/10 the reason it doesn't work is because the ball bearings are worn and are easy and cheap enough to replace.

Springs in this case, the block is fine but the ratchet has failed. Seems a waste to throw away an £80 block for the want of £2 spring.
