Not at BM personally but starting to get some updates,  despite the club weather station reporting 14 kts,  here is the real view :

I always like my fathers phrase for conditions like that....."f*** that for a game of marbles"

Good luck to anyone leaving their bacon butty to go out in that

Hah! The QM windguage is absolutely rubbish. It's on the top of a bendy pole. Couple opf years ago at a B14 inlands the club were adamant that the wind speed was less than 20knts (class rules have  a 25 limit). Couple of people did rig and launch, they needed an assortment of bodies holding the boats down to be able to put sails up.

Was none who would be foremost to lead such dire attack?
But those behind cried "Forward!", and those before cried "Back!"

And on the tossing sea of steel, to and fro the standards reel;
And the victorious trumpet-peal dies fitfully away.

Good call Sargesail!

Taking to those foaming waters,
Sail set against the shuddering blast,
Brave helms and crews who never falter,
Re live the glories of their past.

Survive the vicious Bloody Mary,
Do or die in combat vicious,
At windward mark they never tarry,
Sail on! to post race beer delicious.

A very good call Sargesail, sounds like you went to Eton!

And more obviously a bit of Macbeth:

'Blow wind, come wrack - at least we'll die with harness at our back.'

If you're Scottish can you quote the Scottish play without bringing bad luck upon yourself?

According to the weather station on the QMSC website, we have been enjoying steady 14 kts for the past five months. Miraculously the temperature has also not changed in that time.  Shocked
