At the risk of advertising or endorsing a product, I see Rooster now have a waterproof iPhone case, where you can actually still 'swipe' the screen and use it on the water without worry.

Am tempted to get one because hiding my phone in the car when sailing is annoying.

there's plenty of waterproof cases for smartphones with "touch" cases.

It's probably the 72h, which works in exactly the way Brass describes.  Very simple to use once you know the steps.  I bought mine on eBay, well worth it for decent mark laying.

ping is a network command isn't it? There is also finger used on unix

Hi David,
I spoke to the author of the app, last Sunday (he is a member of Chichester YC also ) and he confirmed that it does indeed run on the iphone 4.
