Don't a lot of people really enjoy the nomenclature.  That seems to be a bit of magic for many novices, who feel they're joining a big bit of national heritage in the footsteps of Drake, Raleigh and Nelson.  Or is that just Wayfarer sailors?

OK, Nelson never joined a CA, but you know what I mean...

Sure, but when Topper made them none of them excited me or gave me any expectations (except the Iso till I tried one), whereas if Cirrus built the Topper you'd expect them to make a proper job if it.

Yep- I think you have a point.  It's got a kind of retro vibe, one that gets lost in the blandness of pushing the stick on a Pico or pulling the rope on a Topaz.

Warships; the ultimate unrestricted development class.

And sure enough, flipping' expensive, but the good news for grf is that no hiking is required

As an aside, what would Nelson say as an Admiral today when the MoD give him as aircraft carrier today but said he'd have to wait 8 years for the aircraft. Akin to sending the Victory to Trafalgar without cannons

Nelson in today's society?  He'd probably ask why he lost a hand and an eye all because one American family's oil interests were under commercial pressure.
