Is this constructive dinghy development or constructive banter?

A bit of both? Science and dinghy development can't be fun?

I wondered where F1 harvested the energy, so, we could do that from wave action in the vertical plane, not much use to you pond chaps, but face it all you do is create a negative vibe to the PY force so nobody will care what you think..

You could be onto something here! I dont really understand the laws of physics regarding gyroscopes but they do do some amazing things. The latest flywheels have also changed the game as with a carbon fibre flywheel you can have a very large gyroscopic effect ( due to extremely high speed rotor working in a vacuum which eliminates any heating effects) without the large weight penalty that conventional flywheels have, that must run at lower speeds due to their lower mechanical properties. If you want to knock one up in your garage I've got lots of carbon impregnated carbon tow!

How about a canting rig hinged off a stable hull? Just apply the gyroscope to the rig.
