Hi all,

I need to replace the top pintle bracket on an RS800 rudder stock - think this is the same stock as used on other RSs. Don't know if it's as original but the screws are pan head with the heads inside the stock. Any views on how I get a screwdriver onto the heads to get the old bracket off? I've managed to free one of the 4 bolts. 2 others have had their nuts removed Wink, but are corroded in place. The last nut/bolt is solid.

Any brilliant ideas appreciated

Jerry

A drill... I had this problem with my old 700 stock. If you are very unlucky the bolts will just spin and not come undone.

Phoned LDC...apparently special tools are recommended to be able to get onto the screw heads. They have said tools, so I'm taking the easy way out and taking the stock over for a 'while u wait' repair.
