New ropes pre cut for dinghy?

I can't imagine anyone being able to do a "set of ropes" for a wayfarer. They must surely all be different. I confess I always end up guessing and buying them too long (plenty of offcuts for odd jobs) but it occurs to me that the sensible thing to do would be to get a ball of string, rig each one up with string and measure the length...

you can buy rope packs for some boats, especially one designs, but my experience is that they are always just a bit too short for my needs.  Better to find an expert and ask.

FWIW, buy what you think you'll need plus a metre or two, rope isn't that expensive in the grand scheme of dinghy things and you're unlikely to replace them more than once every 5 or so years unless you sail every single week, hard, and most likely in salt water!  The off cuts come in very handy and if you're splicing, and starting out, you'll need some 'contingency', or at least I did and most people I know too!

- pre-cut rope packs are almost always more expensive, in my experience
- taking your removable lines off every now and then and/or hosing them down with fresh water really improves their longevity and how nice they are to handle
