Perhaps you should know when to stop digging when you are in a hole! I have sailed much faster boats than the Musto. Doesn't mean I start posting how bad the concept is! You have posted else where that you won't be coming to the FOM regatta as its too small for your Musto. The d1 still got around and prob faster than you could in the Musto! It's absolutely horses for courses. The concept of single handed hiking assy is a sound one just look how quickly the 100 and d1 fleets have grown in recent years. That is solely because it suits people's needs better than trapeze boats they don't buy the to be the fastst boat on the water. Because they are not.

Shall we leave it there now or are you going to shoot off on another angle to try and make yourself look clever??

Have you spent all afternoon looking through my old posts to try and find something interesting - have you nothing better to do or are you trying to make yourself look clever?

Having sailing my Musto enough at a small enough venue i'm not interested in sailing it at the FOM as its supposed to be a fun regatta and i don't find that kind of location fun in that boat; seems simple enough to me.

How quickly have the fleets have grown?  As an outsider they both apparently seem to be selling boats but the turn outs at UK events don't appear to be anything to shout about.

I am not going to shoot off anywhere trying to clever, i don't feel the need to get one up on someone on and internet forum  Ouch

Neptune i can assure you i have not looked through your previous posts. I do however remember your negativity to Broxborne as a location for the FOM something about it not suiting the Musto.... you feel the need to keep posting in order to gain some kind of one up man ship. I have only proved you wrong over some fairly snipey comments about the D1 and other hiking single handers. I have much more important things to do then argue with someone who has little knowledge on the subject and is hell bent on starting an argument. The facts are the facts and if you want to ignore them then fine. I will enjoy the D1 as will many of the other sailors firmly understanding that we are not the fastest boat on the water (not sure we ever claimed to be) I will also enjoy sailing it at the FOM safe in the knowledge that I wont win, but I will be having fun sailing a boat I love and that i didn't need to sl*g a whole growing discipline (hiking kite s/h) getting there.

Ps. The fleets have grown very quickly check out the size of global 100 and D1 fleets vs. The same size musto fleets for the same period when they started I.e. 3 years of musto vs 3 years of 100 and d1!!

Pps love to stay and read you next post (you obviously need to hae the last word to try and make up for someyhin) but I got to try and complete the 10th uk d1 sale this year
