Claims against Sailing Clubs

   I sunk a dinghy once.
It could have been argued that the decisions taken by the RO and Patrol Crew when trying to recover the boat actually caused it's total loss. The Club did consider charging me for the warp that went to the bottom with it. Even if they had have charged me, what I learnt that day would have been worth so much more.

It was a cheap boat and the Insurance paid a little to ease the pain.

Nobody has to race if they don't like the look of it or continue if it get's messy. Surely one reason a lot of us sail is the element of jeopardy we experience.
