2)Chain plates wiht the above
3)Heavy Boats (Anything over 35kgs is heavy)
4)Blade Rudders
5)Daggerboards
6)Rope it gets everywhere
7)GNAVS (they bend the mast all wrong)
8)Tel Tales (especially when you need them they're stuck to the sail)
9)The time it takes if you order a new boat

I don't 'hate' anything about sailing; except maybe the risk of drowning, or pi$$ing in your drysuit.

1) Boats that are designed so that they fall over if left alone for more than a few seconds, even in no wind
2) Boats that float too high when capsized, and so turtle
3) Mast head floats (see above)
4) Friction in control line systems
5) Short tiller extensions
6) Over long Tillers
7) Finding that all that is left of the hog in an old wooden boat is what looks remarkably like soil
8) The price of new boats
9) Big fleet racing (and the idea that "big fleet racing" is what everybody wants, and that it is somehow the holy grail of dinghy racing
10) Sailing in salty water

2) General rule observance

1 - People rocking in light winds (so I bought an overpowered boat)
2 - Being overtaken by lightweights in light wind (so I bought a weight/power equalised boat)
3 - Being underpowered (see1 above)
4 - Politic's and behind the scenes dealing at the upper levels of the sport (not a lot to be done about that - life isn't fair!)
5 - Bias and intolerance (but that's not just just sailing is it....)

Actually, start again

1 - not a lot!

Just in case the like thread draws level I've though of some more..

1)Bandits an B'stards who deliberately seek them out to wind me up
2)Bandits an B'stards who deliberately seek them out who don't care wether they wind me up or not
3)Builders who make the Bandits for the above
4)Stalling out and not realising I've stalled because I've got a stupid arse full battened sail that I'm not directly connected to.
5)That stupid wiggle thing that wraps itself around the rope coming off the back of the boom er usually mid gybe.
6)Did I say daggerboard? Well even worse the ones that fall right through when the boat is upside down
7)Boats going all the way upside down
8)Coming ashore in a big dump fast with a daggerboard in big winds
9)When bits break which happens quite often, more so than ever in a lifetime of windsurfing
10)Regattas timing out after a very short time especially in order to pack in too many races without coming ashore.
