i have one on my streaker, and i hate it in really light winds, because it gives me unwanted vang :/

Could that not be cured by putting the pulley on an adjuster and only wanging tension on downwind?

If you ran the shock-cord through 2 small blocks suspended at gooseneck height, attached in some way (thin shock cord?) allowing the leeward side to pull away from the mast, would this negate the vang effect?

Well you streakers, it shouldn't matter should it? Are you not all enjoying being the same?

Oh, and Grumph.... do give the OK a sail sometime - not the fastest thing around, but great fun and massively rewarding.

I've got myself an OK too now, but my job currently has me doing 90 hr weeks, working 7 days a week for about the next month, so I've only got out once Cry

Here's the boy...

And all of that for less than the cost of an RS300 carbon boom/fittings Wink
