Moving from a laser to a ...

   Find a boat you genuinely want to sail- go and sail that- I moved from a Laser to a 49er and am getting on without too much trouble. 
The plus side is, whereas I would only spend 1hr-1.5hrs at a time in the laser training by myself (I would get too bored to do more!) I spend up to 6-7hrs in the 49er! If you find a boat that you really want, you'll put the time in you need and you'll have a blast while your at it.
