How do you recognise a sailor?

   If you were in the bar what would be a tell tale sign that they are a sailor?

I'll start with having an expensive pair of glasses with a manky piece of string lashed to them

	When the SB3's were having their big event at WPNSA a few weeks ago there were noticeable groups of no more than three men wandering around town - usually with a branded jacket, sometimes a yellow hood.

	stupid tan lines on the legs just below the knee and just above the ankle weathered face and bleached (by the sun) hair, not towie bleached though

	I'd say yachties are easier to recognise than dinghy sailors. The trademark 'dubarrys with shorts and occasionally leggings' look is a dead giveaway. ;)
