I partly agree with you. We already have the technology on the Y&Y site, so I can add this in if people really want it.

My issue would be: how many people will actually bother to leave the reviews/votes, so you can read them?

Thanks Asok.  I thought it was a reasonable idea, but it doesn't look like many people do Cry
 
If I get bored I might try and set up a Wordpress site to do it myself, if Y&Y don't want to.  Never done anything like that before though, so no idea how to do it, or if its even possible!

Thumbs Up Great idea.  I'd like to see 'user' comments on sailing clubs before I make the effort to travel to an open event.  It would be good for clubs as well - especially those with dodgy kitchens!  Time to up your game!

I also like the idea of video online content.  I'd been subscribing to New Scientist video podcasts (geeky I know) and they work pretty well.

I think it would be great to link the club  pages to a sort of Trip Advisor style thing, where sailors can leave feedback on clubs they have visited. I know there are some legal battles going at the moment with Trip Advisor, but I'm sure this doesn't render the concept unworkable.
 
Also, how about Y&Y do some dinghy reviews on video, rather than just in print?  They would be much more informative in many ways, and could create a link between the mag and the website (e.g. videos only available to subscribers?).
