Probs F 6 shouldn't really go out beyond a F7, stuff tends to break in a F6 well my stuff does!

I done one event gusting into the F8 region! but not sail-able conditions, couldn't even turn back, too windy to tack or gybe, the shore was deceptively sheltered

F6 gusting F8 at a Flying fifteen event on Dovestone Reservoir April 2007

At times coming back downhill (without spinnaker as the forestay was sagging under main and jib) we were looking where we had been so we coould actually breath.  Not the fastest boat on the pond perhaps, but it does shift some water out of the way

When you find a big kettle of crazy it's probably best not to stir it - Pointy Haired Boss

Lots...but I wasn't sailing, I was starting to panic so was the crew.

An early summer squall off Eastbourne, Tornado seen half a mile away. Lifeboat launched. Broken and beached boats everywhere.

.......Hugs and tears on the beach when all were safe..........Good fun in retrospect
