Hi everyone.

Wonder if you can help. I'm trying to put together a collection of up to date PN's, including latest trial numbers from class associations etc where not available from the RYA. I'm struggling with finding info for a few classes. Does anyone know what these numbers should be and where I could find them written by the class etc to back them up?

Classes are :

comet race

cherub (class associaiton has numbers for old boats but not new ones yet)

harrier

Thanks in advance for any help received. It's greatly appreciated. I might have some more information that I need soon, and if so I'll be back for that.

Thanks Alex, I couldnt find any info about it other than the name of the guy who designed it...

Coincidentally, thats the same number that is in our clubs records as being used for that class too, so it must have come from somewhere!

Current rules Cherubs 930, pre05 rules 975.

Not sure about Comet race, but my understanding was that it was designed to give the same performance as the standard comet rig but just make life easier therefore it should be sailed off of the standard Comet number. I may however be wrong on this but we only have one at our club and she doesnt really know the class (the boat was a good price and fitted her requirements).

Cotswold SC are using 1050 for the Comet Race. They have a couple sailing.

I'm not sure where this number came from.

Thanks. Is a comet race a singlehander?

No, the comet race is a double hander similar to a RS200 but slightly larger.

The evolution of the comet single hander that craiggo refered to is called the Comet Xtra and carries the same PY as the standard rig comet.

A few more odd ones in the junior section of our club, if anyone has any ideas...

West Eleven
11 Plus
Oppi (NOT proper Optimist, but the plastic training version which is heavier, floppier and has a smaller rig!)

According to the Noble Marine database an Oppi is 1646, the same as an Optimist.  It lists the other two but does n't have a PY for them.
the same, but different...

I couldnt find the PY's for the 11+ or the West Eleven either. Did anyone have any success? Because I'm incredibly geeky, I'm trying to finalise my ultimate PY list and spreadsheet to calculate pursuit race times which I will post on here when done.
