Hi - new to this forum and looking to undertake a tidal dayskipper qualification as part of a sabbatical in August. I'm looking to train with a sailing school in Gibraltar but am not sure which one to go with. Has anyone had experience of any of the following:-

Straits sailing school

All-Abroad

Hot liquid

Trafalgar sailing

It would be useful to hear any feedback as i'm not sure who to use, prices are all quite similar. I'm also looking to undertake the theory course

Cheers

A bit late probably but my experience is with a RYA school based in Gibraltar called Atlantic Charters who use high performance cruisers that ensure you have a really good grounding in how to handle all types of yacht less than 45 foot. See their website at: http://www.atlanticcharters.co.uk

Haven't used them but have been recommended Atlantic Charters as well. Gib is a really great place to take a course - good range of conditions and plenty of supertankers to avoid - keeps you on your toes!

If we talk about Gibraltar then I am sure the sailing schools offer is big, I am sure they have a good diversity as well in terms of budget, teaching strategies, number of students and so on. I would love to have the chance to attend a school like this but until then I'll have to graduate my current school. I am lucky to have some writing services to rely on for the tough assignments.
