I will post some tips a bit later when I have time to write them out, but the crucial thing is:

You will get wet a lot to begin with but don't let that put you off! After a while you soon get the hang of it! Saying that not all people get very wet to begin with but a lot do (probably most but I'm not sure!)

As long as you can swim you'll be fine.

in light winds the crew will be in front of the mast (stand on the crossbeam thingy). helm will then take the main. the boat is mostly about teamwork. just take your time tacking to start with. remember to keep the boat flat at all timesand you will need less rudder than in the feva due to the extra speed.

you will swim but just stick it through for a few months and you will see how much fun these boats can be. ignore people at the club who will take the piss for swimming sometimes. just think how much more fun your having than those guys in GP14's, phantoms, lasers etc etc etc

Quite a bit on a 29er tbh, as you need to get used to the crew/helm baancing, crew should do it all really in the 29er allowing the helm to concentrate on keeping it pointing the right way!

oh and keep the main right in on the gybes and dont blow too much kicker downwind!

Helming a 29er is pretty dull compared to crewing.
