There's a couple at MRSC, but spares may be a bit hard to get.

I just had a look at some pics of the mx ray.................IT LOOKS BLIMIN AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Its such a shame that boats like that dont keep selling because it looks just my sort of thing!
Anyone know why they didnt sell enough, was there a major problem with them? |

Apparently they were brilliant offwind (I wonder why??) but atrocious upwind; wouldn't point & had no speed whatsoever. Saw a couple of them at Ullswater when we visited a couple of months back.

They looked kinda cool, but were in reality awful boats. JimR is right. There were a few at my club, but they were slower upwind than the club GP14. Free market forces prevailed and you no longer see very many. Hooray!

Bruce is a little harsh! Keeping a Ray moving upwind can be tricky, they need to be dead level, if you drag a wing everything slows down. On the plus side the two rigs options are good - in light/medium winds the 10m main and 13m spinnaker generate plenty of power, while I have had some real blasts with the standard rig in a F5/6. If you want a cheap singlehander with an asymmetric.... well I'm not selling mine!!

Just keep searching the classifieds. They show up from time to time.
