Have a look at the following link:

http://www.rockinfo.co.uk/rock/oceanesc.html

I thought Escape were still going though even if they're not, I know that this guy shifted a fair few of them to people down at Rock so he's likely to have some spares kicking around.

Failing that, you could contact Fibrespar (who make windsurfing masts) as I'm pretty sure they made the masts for the Escape.

Hi

Thanks for the info people,

The boat is used for introducing youngsters to sail, so I'm looking for a low cash solution if possible!

if you have a bit of cash to spare and want something that might last a bit longer try going to superspars or something like that and seeing if they have something that will do the job, i know people who buy lengths of aluminium tube from superspars the same type as laser top sections and move the fittings across when they break an old one. saves about £80 a time
600 732, will call it Sticks and Stones when i get round to it.
Also International 14, 1318

Hi Black no sugar         & nbsp;        (is that coffee, tea or other)

Thanks for the reply.

Based in "sunny" Weymouth, where the water seams to be invading - haha

But that's fine, makes more room for the Olympic sailing in 2012

If anyone does have a top mast that is skulking around, it would be muchly appreciated

Clap Nice one omots, and welcome to the forum; you're going to fit right in!

We've got various boat bits knocking about in the storage shed, like in every sailing club. Where are you based?

Dear Isis

Subtle sarcasm or other, I appreciate your reply to my question.

Some background............ whilst doing a safetyboat course,we started easy without the sails.

<<Before the Sarcy Army jump in - take a deep breath, drink some coffee or whatever and have a moments thought. People new to capsize recovery, we build knowledge with many "small" learning blocks. The "jump In at the deep end - is SOOO old school>>

A two part mast that would not come apart on the shore, discovered freedom and made for it....

Quite simple, matter of fact!

Now, how do we get some information that we don't have?

Ah, lets try the Y&Y Forum, friendly, knowledge people, bound to be someone who would help out.

Someone did, and then useful "friendly" banter uttered forth!

Anyhow, the information much appreciated, any more useful information also appreciated. An old top mast section also much appreciated.

Playful banter also appreciated, that's why they have bars in sailing clubs - hehe

Thank you "Isis" for your assistance

Yours in lovin' sailin'
