Hi Im looking for a Beneteau 27.7 as I need shallow draught and a bit of performance but im told that they are very expensive for the size and are a bit giddy.Does anyone have one that could give me some advise as Id like to get one with racing spec.Would spend a little over 30k.Thanks

There is a one available through www.ambleboat.co.uk give them a ring they will help you.

North 3dl's Harken winche upgrades etc etc. Raced at scottish series, kip regatta etc.

There's one that sails at our club and it  has to be said it doesn't do well as a rule.  Nice boat to sail though - probably just needs a bit more grunt on it for windy days.

Have a look at a 2nd hand laser 28 (later built Redfox 29)

Superior boat to the 27.7 if you ask me, and I believe a better IRC. Doesn't draw much.

The bull 7000 (or 9000) could be a faster option on the used market with an assy' or the platu which is a bit quicker in light to medium and more of a purist racer's boat. Also the reflex 28 is being relaunched but I think it has a 7ft draught. Also used j92s or j80s worth a peek.
