There are 2 very small areas that need patching where the mast slots into the laser.  I am not sure what is best to use as there are so many fibregall fillers, gelcoat fillers and more.  The area isn't in a cosmetic area as its about 4 inches down the tunnel so i'm not worries about colour matching but I dont want to use something that will cause a problem a couple of years down the line should I then want to refurb the hull.

Having never done any repairs before I really don't want to make things worse but the bank balance is now well and trully empty.  Will the putty filler be ok.  I have used this before on windsurfing boards.

The amount to fill is only where the gel coat chipped but not knowing whether to use filler or gelcoat is a bit of a nightmare.

Can you help me choose the one that will do the job and also be least technical with possibilities of making a horendous nightmare.

This one http://www.sailboats.co.uk/Product~Gelcoat_Filler_165g_40294 .html

you can then put selo tape over the repair after appling the gelcoat and this will mould the filler to the hole, which means less sanding

Don't use too much though or you won't get you mast down there or sand it down.

You could always get some gelcoat from RoosterSailing
